........if you aren't afraid to become a switch geek.
I use the cheap whitebox switches that Amazon dumped on Ebay.
Quanta LB4M and Quanta LB6M
I use a Quanta LB6M for my home rack I have 10GbE cards in all the stuff on
my rack.
I have a bunch of both at work.

The LB4M has a bunch of different firmware that you can use.
......they are cheap and awesome but you will need to spend a lot of time
learning about them if you want to do cool stuff with them.

Hey guys,

Do you have brand of network switch that you prefer to use? Something
reliable that doesn't cost an arm & a leg?

I need a new rack-mount, 16-port switch for my rack at home, and probably a
couple smaller ones for satellite locations. A managed switch would be
gravy, but really isn't necessary. PPoE would be helpful, but again, isn't
required.

I'm fed up with TP-LINK after their business-class switch died a second time
in 18 months, and finding that their customer support is a nightmare to deal
with. It took 10 days to get them to even issue an RMA, and then they
required me to pay shipping for a warranty replacement.
