Alright, a quick update after my conversation with the Cox rep.

Their Home Office packages are:

Preferred - 7M Down / 512K Up - $79/month
Premier - 12M Down / 1M Up - $99/month

The prices are slightly more palatable, but the speeds are not
comparable. Doing a speed test on bandwidthplace.com shows my
residential speeds are ~15 - 16 Mb Down, and 3 - 4.5 Mb Up. For
$60/month. She tried to push that you get better support, etc - which
I can understand, but I haven't called Cox support in years, so even
if I had to, I'd be fine with the regular channels for support.
Likewise, I already have a modem, etc. She wasn't budging. She
simply said, there could be speed increases soon, but the pricing
wouldn't change.

Just amazes me that the level of service (in terms of what _I_ would
use) are so far less compared to the difference in pricing.

Here's to hoping Omaha gets the Google setup...and they get it to me
as well... ;)
