Thanks for the feed-back.  Since I have my own hardware already, I'm going
to bump up my Cox at Home connection to their $99/month Cox at Work service (1Mb
up/12Mb down) and host it at home.  The cost differential is only $50 from
what I pay for the @Home now, but I'll get faster speeds for home surfing,
plus I can put a couple of friends servers up too for only $5 per
additional IP address.

If I didn't have the hardware, Linode was a very tempting offer.  (When I
get a lot of free time or win the Lottery, I might play with setting up
some sort of Xen/KVM/UML system to play with and offer that to
frieds/family.)
