I'm trying to check the SUSE 9.3 iso's that I've
downloaded.

I went to the

http://theopencd.sunsite.dk/md5.php

website to see how to work with the md5sum program.

I get that the downloads failed. I'm not sure I did
things correct though.

Here is exactly what I did:

1.) Downloaded the files to a directory on the D:
drive of a Windoze XP machine (faster pipe and more
free space).

2.) Downloaded the md5sum.exe file and placed it in
the same directory as the files.

3.) Went to START >> RUN and entered CMD to get a
command prompt.

4.) cd D

5.) cd "SUSE 9.3"

6.) md5sum -c SUSE-9.3-Prof-i386-CD1.iso

even tried
6.) md5sum -c SUSE-9.3-Prof-i386-CD1.iso.zip
6.) md5sum -c SUSE-9.3-Prof-i386-CD1.iso.zip.md5

The files sizes I have for the CDs are:

SUSE-9.3-Prof-i386-CD1.iso 354,644 KB
WinRAR archive
SUSE-9.3-Prof-i386-CD2.iso 692,028 KB
WinRAR archive
SUSE-9.3-Prof-i386-CD3.iso 713,926 KB
WinRAR archive
SUSE-9.3-Prof-i386-CD4.iso 685,280 KB
WinRAR archive
SUSE-9.3-Prof-i386-CD5.iso 697,104 KB
WinRAR archive

Help appreciated.
