[olug] RAS for dial-up ISP question

i have used a rocketport that had 6 built in modems w/ nt ras (i can feel the flames) and found that it worked well for what we used it for. terminal emulation to a server, mail access for around 6 small (1 computer) off site locations. this has worked well for quite some time (3 or 4 years) BUT if i was looking at doing this from scratch today right now, I would look at other technologies
