[olug] linux kernel 2.4.18-17.7.x problems (from Red Hat)

Some of you may remember from installfest that I was having problems
compiling the kernel in the subject line, It kept giving me errors for
the ethernet modules I needed. I'd like to go back to compiling an
earlier version that works. My question; is there a simple way to reset
this so that it will compile the 2.4.9-34 version rather than the
2.4.18-17.7.x. RPM doesn't do the remove in this case. I know the
2.4.9-34 version compiles with no errors and I'd like to use that as my
basic kernel compile for now. Can I do this relatively simply? If so, how?

Here's the content of the directories in question.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
