RECORDING WITH SCRIPT

At the times of doing some
installation, it is often
required to have the log of
all the commands you gave
and the output appeared on
the screen. If the software
you are installing make the
log it is OK otherwise you
loose all. The situation
is worst when something
doesn't work and you are not
able to find out what went
wrong at the time of
installation. There is a good
command which puts all the
containts of a terminal
window in a file.

% script
Script started, file is typescript

So this logs all the
activities in the file
typescript. Anytime you can
press ctrl-d and the file
will come to an end.
