[olug] cd-rom drive

Thanks for the help guys . . . .
/dev/hdd was the 24x cd-rom drive. Once I disconnected it, I was able to
load using the CD-R/W. It wasn't trouble free, but my machine is now running
Mandrake 8.0 Of course it says that my modem is a winmodem. It's a Modem
Blaster 56K PCI. I was assured that it was a hardware modem and would work
with Linux.
What's a good PCI modem that will work? (I don't have any ISA slots in my
new MB)
Thanks for your help!
