[olug] Looking for a Fan

I agree that Ben's solution is probably better than mine, but hear me out.
😀

If it's a matter of keeping the NAS from overheating in use, and you don't
mind a bit of unorthodox engineering, you could probably go to a computer
parts recycler and find a very similar fan to use.

As Ben notes, If you're reusing the header for the old fan, you do need to
make sure the electrical specifics are correct. But if you find a fan that
takes a common voltage that is available elsewhere within the NAS housing,
you might be able to tap into that for power instead.

And as for mounting, many cooling fans in the '90s were very small compared
to today's and simply screwed to the heatsink between heatsink blades not a
tapped threaded hole for the fan screw.

The hacked in fan would probably run the entire time the NAS is powered on,
but at least it would let you run it without worry of overheating while you
are sourcing a stock fan.
