If OBS stands for Open Broadcasting Software, I don't see how its
absence rules out Zoom's Open Source competitors Big Blue Button
and Jitsi.

Besides being Linux friendly and also Windows, Mac and device
accessible, another advantage of Jitsi is that any attendee can share
his/her screen. So when an attendee mentions something going wrong, the
attendee can share his/her screen and show the problem, and afterwards
the presenter can take charge of screen sharing.

Yes. Zoom is difficult on non-mainstream Linux distros, and pretty much
impossible without Pulseaudio, which I refuse to install.
