Pretty much same boat here With Ubuntu Jeff, Ever since we switched to
FreeNAS at work I have been leaning more towards playing with FreeBSD. It
is great for servers. setting up a few maintenance servers and such.

I just get too "comfy" on Ubuntu. For a desktop it is great, I just hate
some application choices they force on you. I have been running Ubuntu
studio lately, Just recently switched to Bodhi 3 but it is slightly too
unstable for me.., wiping and installing 2.4 for a few days now. Luckily
there are just enough distributions to try, that we may never get bored,
and the Barracuda Linux VPN Client is easy peasy to re-install :)

having great luck with Atheros based WiFi lately, I remember that chore all
too well...
