Interesting correlation to my DNS issues.

If the 4th of July is a hacker holiday, it is interesting that that is the
time Microsoft took it.

Agreed - that's why an ad-blocker coupled with a hosts based "blackhole"
list (like from http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/) can really speed up browsing.

That coupled with OpenDNS is a good way to keep virus free and protect some
of your privacy on-line.
