[olug] SMTP outbound-Cox has no authentication, vendor is not amused.

It's postmaster day.....

My wife's business has an application that will email reports to her clients.
The application demands the SMTP host (smarthost.coxmail.com for Cox business
clients) and a user name and password.

Cox does not send the mail if authentication is sent. Vendor, when told of
Cox's policy, describes it as "1990's technology". I suppose I could dummy up
a postfix smarthost. Gah.
