Former actually. It will need to able to hook up w/exchange, calendaring etc... work stuff. I would really like to ability to ssh from the phone dunno if that's an option of these smartphones. I found a few phones like the HTC Rezound and Samsung Focus 2 but hate to buy into yesterday's tech. Guess the old Windoze 7 phones can only utilize single proc's. Windoze 8 will use dual/quad proc's. I don't keep up on phones n gadgets so when it comes to phones I'm noob. Thx for advice tho and have seen some reviews there. Cnet sometimes only rehashes the brochure and doesn't really give full review like actuall run times, ports, etc. But still good to ck them out there like u said. Thx for info sir.

By "GPS" do you mean navigation capability with maps, or do you just
mean E-911 service (which transfers your GPS location to the operators)?

If the later, pretty much any phone (smart or dumb) made today will
suffice. If the former, pretty much any smartphone made today will
suffice. If those are really your only requirements, then I recommend
you choose based on price and physical size.

I find that cnet.com and engadget.com have good reviews of most cell
phones, so see what they have to say before buying.
