[olug] USB enclosure recommendations

I recently bought a Hitachi 3TB internal drive and a Rosewill RX-358-U3B
USB3 enclosure in which to put it. Despite being advertised as supporting
linux kernels 2.4 and above, the enclosure wasn't recognizable by any of
three machines (all different kernels) that I tried. I tried both the
new 3TB drive and an older 2TB drive which has been in service in a
different enclosure for a while now. The new pair worked fine in Win7.
Rosewill's support was clueless, so the enclosure is getting returned.
(For the record, I've used Rosewill enclosures in the past -- for smaller
drives -- and have been quite happy with them).

Can any of you recommend a USB 3.0 enclosure that will handle a 3TB
drive and can verifiably play nice with Linux?

I really don't want a prepackaged external drive, as I go through
drives pretty fast and would like this enclosure to last several
generations of drives.
