No misunderstanding. There are packages to make a screencast, but i
do not have acces to my list, ran out-of-time, but posted anyway.
With a screencapture and the -newaudio option to ffmpeg, then
converting screenshots to screencasts should work and you would think
it would make a small file.

For creating a video from many images:
               ffmpeg -f image2 -i foo-%03d.jpeg -r 12 -s WxH foo.avi

In regards to WebHuddle, why have two tools when hopefully all you
need is one. Often i would like the meeting/webinar host to record
meetings to be reviewed again later without taking others time, but
most times that functionality is not built in and the presenter is a
noob. i would be careful of what webhuddle package is downloaded as
it appears the project was hacked by spammers.

ffmpeg -formats | wc shows ffmpeg may deal with maybe 169 formats.
ffmpeg -f x11grab -s cif -i :0.0 /tmp/out.mpg

p.s.
sf.net/projects/camstudio is the opensource pre Adobe version of
camtasia, but it is win32.
