Maybe the SharePoint vs WIKI was unfair because SharePoint is more of
a Content Management System or CMS.  There are tons of CMS Content
Management Systems on sourceforge alone.  Plone.org for instance uses
TinyMCE.   http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/tryit/full.php  Most users
have everything they need in TinyMCE or competitors.

There are those ZK isn't ajax or something forks.

alfresco.com has open source, pay for, and cloud service version.
Many of the devs came from interwoven which were doing amazing things
in web browsers when it was actually extremely hard outside of java.
Not sure why it doesn't use  something like TinyMCE, but there are
plenty of OpenOffice Alfresco plugins that interact with alfresco and
for that matter wikis.

There are many more than this, but SF dropped my favorites.
