[olug] Document repository

Sharepoint and Hummingbird, and both work ok. With Sharepoint you have the usual LDAPish type of issues, where authentication is sometimes not as seamless as it should be (what do you expect from Micro$oft). Hummingbird works good if you set it up right, and there are only a few folks in town that really know how to do it right. I can give you a name/number if you want it. Popularity/support for it is ever so slowly dying away, and I see it probably gone in 4-5 years.

Both need more than one server for successful enterprise level productivity. (Don't everyone reply at once, yes I know you can have a single Sharepoint server/instance, but we have had much more luck with a virtual farm than the silo server.)

Both integrate with other workflow products (Kofax, Outlook/Exchange, SQL).

Is anyone using a document repository for your work documentation? If so, what are you using and do you like it?

Thanx!!
