[olug] xubuntu 10.10 - anyone tried it yet?

yeah, been an Xubuntu user for a few years now. Upgraded last night,
so I can't compare the install process to 10.04. I usually upgrade
first to see how it goes. If things are a bit off, then I'll install
from scratch (only do that for one upgrade cycle though, that's as far
as I've been able to go without feeling the need to reinstall). I
haven't "played" with the new install though. I did, however, post
last night about my upgrade problem - still haven't had time to look
into it more. After updating my fstab with UUIDs everything works
fine now and the rest of the upgrade went off without a hitch. It was
one of the better Ubuntu upgrades I've done. Except when you reboot
and your heart stops for a second as you read... "unable to find
/home" ?! @#$#@% it was there a minute ago... I can usually fix the
problem as I did last night, but I have the same "oh crap!" reaction
everytime!

Don't know about resource usage compared to other distros/versions,
right now I'm using 425MB RAM... but I have a few programs running,
including firefox with about 10 tabs - that's a RAM hog there. I want
to look into Lubuntu for low resource usage. Icons look really nice,
but icons are never what's sold me on a DE. It seems like a clean
interface as usual for Xfce. It does, however, seem like more GUI
configuration options disappear with every Xubuntu upgrade. I don't
know if that's Xfce or Ubuntu causing that - I'd guess Ubuntu. If you
have any questions, feel free.
