[olug] Newbie Bash Scripting Tutorial

Trial and error is certainly an obvious option that yields high rewards (and
costs lots of hair and expletives). I suggest using real world scenarios
to practice with (even if you have to contrive them). For example, figure
out how to format your /var/log/messages sorted by reverse date and error
type. Or create a test directory and populate it with 0 length files
containing todays date separated by a uniq number, then turn those files
into directories. Pick three commands from /usr/bin/ and try and use them
in the same command, piped together. Whatever you do try, do it on a
machine that is not in production, and break it, a lot.
