That is correct. With openSUSE 11.2, there is no xorg.conf file by default.

sax2 -r -m 0=nvidia

might create one. Otherwise, there might be a means within
nvidia-config to create an initial config file. However, with newer
versions of X.org, in theory the best settings are auto-detected.
