I used to work for Dell, I don't recall the 270 even having a sata controller in it, the 280 did.. No I don't have any enclosures or adapters you can borrow.

I was using a gx270, as I have tested out they do not like sata drives, Does anyone have a sata to usb or firewire adapter that i could borrow?

Not everyone can easily hackintosh a bootable thumb drive, and regardless..
no detection in BIOS means no recovery by any OS.
