If we're limited to a 19" rack, then I think limiting the servers to 4U is a
good idea (including height of shelf - those lips can be a buggar to work
around).

If the location is flexible, I'd vote for the bakers rack so we can
accommodate older spare hardware servers.

With Reboot The User gone, I don't know where to point someone to buy an
entry-level server?

If space isn't much of an option, I'd push for both rack options but reserve
the true 19" rack for rack-mount equipment only.
