Hi Dan,
I tried a similar thing last year, but with a Cox CIDRnet on one side and my wireless on the other - was never able to make Untangle work. Probably do to my lack of understanding. However, I was able fully configure pfSense the way I wanted. I have since ordered one of the tiny (1"x6"X6") 3 interface boxes with a SDcard with pfSense running and have not had any issues.
Sorry I can't offer any help with Untangle, but would gladly share w/ya how I have pfSense setup if you decide to go that route instead.

Cheers,
Patrick
