[olug] NNUI & No Machine

We are not even CLOSE to removing our Novell products. They work well compared to our bleed blue alternative. I openly admit I am anti-M$ but eDirectory is much more stable than Almost Directory. Do we have some blue servers? Yes. What we are looking at is a way to put a 1/2 million dollars back into the budgets if we can transition away from our M$ license and maybe even the Novell fees as well as costs associated with the Windows servers for apps. This is the direction that No Machine looks to give us at an astronomically low cost!

I hope some of you can come out and see what Mosaic is doing with No Machine today! I hope to see us doing more with it in the near future (if I can figure out this silly Cups printing issue). 8)

I thought Millard was phasing out their Novell products. Are you
still hanging in there with them?

Millard Schools is looking at No Machine to help us get more longevity out of our hardware If you are interested in seeing this, please let me know so that we have an accurate head count (gotta make sure we have room).
