[olug] OT: Newer Dell Hardware

What are you using to connect the r410s to the r905s? I hope not just the
onboard Ethernet.

Charles let me play with some of his toys for a bit and I did something
similar with 6 1950s and 2950 with 6 drives in raid 5 with openfiler.

It sucked balls when I had a bunch of virtuals hitting the hard drives.
Running hard drive benchmarks on 2 separate victuals turn it in to a
crawling slow POS. I'd hate to see what it would be like with like 10+
virtuals making db queries.

If your dumping that kinda cash on the project id seriously consider getting
at least a equallogic san.

I'll be running 3 R905's in a Citrix XenServer pool and a pair of
R410's as HA OpenFiler box's later this month. I'm sure it'll be fun.
