Aric has a point to an extent, but I'm not sure it matters in this case. Dell will likely use 5 different hard drive vendors for a particular model. On a laptop they might offer a choice of different wireless cards. On any PC they might offer a choice of video cards. And they all use tons of different vendors for optical drives.
