The problem you are having is the boot loader.

You have partitioned the hard drive, and installed the OS.

Now you need to install the boot loader, and on some scsi systems,  
this doesnt get done during the install due to a bios/other issue.

What you need to do is build a grub floppy, boot from it and install grub.

in grub,

root (hd0,0) #(depending on how you partitioned, this is where /boot is)
setup (hd0)

grub boot floppy instructions.
