Noel,

What are you using to play the video in Myth, mplayer or xine?

Have you tried playing the video using VLC or mplayer, no frontend 
running?

How much ram is in your frontend?

Also, if you're using AGP, check your windows size.  Try 64MB if your 
mainboard supports it.
