[olug] eeepc experiences

I got my hands on both like I posted earlier. The HP felt higher quality, component wise. The OS (SLED) was unbootable on the test unit so I reinstalled it from the built-in drive and it worked flawlessly after that. Keys were good size, system was fast enough, screen was just about right for me. On the ASUS, programs would just disappear, literally. Games would be there one day, gone the next. Really kind of odd.

Problem with the HP...cost. They are very proud of their equipment...not sure if that is still the case.

In a similar thread, and something Craig mentioned (I don't remember if it
was in this thread or not). Has anyone put their hands on the HP 2133? I
always thought that one looked really nice - I hope they upgrade to the Nano
cpu and maybe the newer chipset to match. I hear they make a decent combo.
