so, if your running off a static ip, then you need to setup your host
OS to run as dhcp server or give your virtual OS its own static IP. I
installed it virtualbox and loaded up a live cd. it got its own ip
from my dhcp server.


you may also want to see if "xalan" is installed. when I tried to
install virtualbox on my system it said it was recomended but did not
try to install it. so i apt-get xalan  then did it to virtualbox.

haven't tried the usb yet. but I think you need you need the non open
source ver. to get that to work
