[olug] OT: Restarting the Cox Modem

Something happened yesterday and I was wondering if this happens to  
others. I came home to check e-mail and found that there were  
connections being made but the packet exchange was so slow that they  
timed out. After a few minutes of checking wiring and other links. I  
turned off the Cox modem for a few minutes and restarted the rest of  
the network and everything began to work normally again. It seems like  
this is happening about every four to five months. Is this something  
others have experienced or do I just have a buggy modem?

Also when this happens it really screws up my VoIP phones.
