i have been very happy with our purchases of used Compaq servers and
cabinets from jay at RebootTheUser. Local and Linux run shop.

p.s. We have two Dell machines and one Compaq, the ease of maintenance
of firmware and device drivers of the 800MhZ Compaq blows away the
relatively new dual 2.8GhZ Xeon Dell. Compaq provides one ISO
bootable image to update all the firmware and there is so many
different sets of firmware on a high-end server - system firmware,
raid firmware, embedded management firmware, and others.
