It's a bit late... and everyone should already know this....

But don't read the slashdot user comments for the article.

Never read any slashdot user comments.  Don't read K5.  etc.

I even set my viewing threshold for 4 and still most of the comments were
about morality, what they thought of prison systems, death sentences, stupid
humor, etc.  I was really hoping for comments about how this would affect
the FS, open source, etc ... not a bunch of soapbox spew.
