[olug] vmware server on AMD opteron

We don't have any Opteron boxes, but we've got 2 VMware GSX boxes, 1
VMware ESX box, and 2 VMware server boxes in house, in addition to
about 8 copies of VMware workstation kicking around, so we've got a
bit of experience with VMware.

That being said, I'll give it an unequivocal recommendation. It's not
the perfect solution to every problem, but what it does it does very
well, and it has pretty much revolutionized the way we run our data
center.

VMware + SAN = Nirvana

I can't imagine that it'd do anything but run like a champ on an Operton box.
