[olug] vmware guest system clock speed problem

I hadn't installed the VMWare Tools (they're mostly useful if you're  
running X Windows and want better graphics support and whatnot,  
correct?), but I have now.  It didn't seem to make any difference in  
the oddness.

Grrr.
