[olug] ext2/3 mounting

Your milage may vary, but when I tried using the ext2fs kernel module
under 10.3 (I don't know if I tried 10.4 or not -- don't think so) it
reliably caused a kernel panic and locked up my powerbook with any
significant use. I could browse the directory structure, but I
really couldn't read more than a couple of megabytes of data off of
the ext2/3 partition before it locked up. And of course, as
journaling wasn't supported, the volume was marked unclean each time
this happened and had to be thoroughly checked when I plugged it back
into a Linux box.

I eventually decided the easiest thing to do was to get another
external volume, format it HFS+, and scp the data to it. And, Macs
like firewire better than USB anyway.
