The last time i had experience with video conferencing on *nix systems
was with mbone and that was more than 10 years ago.  Interestingly
enough, it looks like mbone is used in linuxtv.org.   Now, there is a
m6bone for IPv6.   And of course, VNC was developed originally fo
videoconferencing.  By searching for "site:asterisk.org Video" at
yahoo, you will notice many references to video in a open source pbx. 
You  will get a kick out of exploring the source in a clickable well
formatted style.

Also try kphone, you probably already have some version of it.
