Depends.  Are they the win32 codecs from Mplayer's site?  Then /usr/lib/win32.  
If they're the divx codecs from divx.com (or xvid from xvid.org), /usr/lib.  
Or, assuming this is your SuSE box, go to http://packman.links2linux.org and 
grab the RPMs built for SuSE (divx, xvid and the Win32 codecs can all be 
found at http://packman.links2linux.org/index.php4?action=cat&cat=6).
