[olug] SUSE Linux 9.3 help

I did some work on Joes machine, I looked at it a few weeks ago.
hda11 was not mounting and looking at all the boot msg it said it couldnt mount, I looked for it in etc/fstab and no listing in there for that partition, i looked in cfdisk and it showed in the table, so...i manually put the listing of hda11 in fstab and then did fschk and no bad messages. for the time that i tried using the machine it would mount hda11 when system would boot.
now its not finding that partition again, i am somewhat perplexed....My gut is telling me it is a software issue and not physical. I am also not as experienced as most on the list so basicly i am saying i dont know. :D
