I need some assistance choosing.

I am looking to "Connect" multiple locations' files on the the internet to a single local 'reporting' entitity for a client to remote access and retrieval project. I have looked at clustering, BitTorrent and some P2P solutions but just can't settle. I need the connections to offer access security while transport can be web retrieval/ftp.

This is confusing for me. If anyone has any idea I would appreciate the help.
