Last night, I posted a message about my wireless
experience so far with a PCI Wireless card. If you
want to run a Host Access Point, your best bet is a
card with an Intersil Prism II chip set. I know they
are available with 802.11b, but I don't know if they
are available with 802.11g.

Here are a couple of really good starting points:

When I started setting up my access point, I found
that my Linksys WAP11 was supported. Then, I found
out there are two versions of the WAP11, one with the
Prism II chip set, and one with the Broadcom chip set.
The Linksys WAP11 with the Broadcom chip set can not
run as a Host Access Point. Unfortunately, my card is
the Broadcom version.
