[olug] AST Linux shutdown procedure?

 I didn't think to init/telinit but that doesn't work, either - the 
machine is running busybox and it says something about init, but it has 
no effect.

sh /etc/rc shutdown downs services and dismounts r/w file systems, so I 
guess its safe to turn it off now. Its all very strange ... Linux, yet 
it has a /etc/rc.conf ...
