It's important to me that the Linux Community grow and expand.  I think we

Excellent point.  My questions are:  How often do key hardware vendors refuse 
to cooperate with driver authors?   Do any of the major corporate 
contributors to Linux (Novell, IBM) want to use their influence to get 
drivers for new desktop hardware written?

I was flipping channels last night when I ran across the scene in Demolition 
Man where Sandra Bullock tells Sylvester Stallone that since Taco Bell won 
the franchise wars, all restaurants were now Taco Bells :)  I don't really 
see us headed in that direction yet, but I think MS needs the competition to 
keep them honest.
