  I mean I get a CD I can neither boot nor mount.

 Yup, did this and it mounts up just fine - nothing wrong with the ISO.

  Not familiar with this but I will check it out ... I've burned several
copies and I always have this problem. I have not trouble with other
bootable CD types ... just Knoppix.
