I guess I don't understand.  Does it just take a while
to respond and sometimes times out?   Some mail
clients, like outlook and kmail, write the outgoing
message to an 'Outbox' and send the message at
liesure.  I use mozilla at home so I know right away
if there is an issue.

Jay, write him a nice script to spam his account and
spit out useful errors, if any.  :)
