I do the surrogate thing during the week at my office too. Works great.
Except now I forgot where I work.

Actually, do they REALLY do that surrogate interviewer thing? Sure, we
all have thought about it, but who has the gumption to have someone else
sit in for them on an interview? I have been to several interviews
where they show you around the building, introduce you to the president,
etc...that would blow up in your face if you started and had no clue who
anyone was, or was a different face then the interview. hmmm Not sure
I agree with that concept.

I say work on your self-confidence. Believe in yourself, and it will
show.

Well you wouldn't necessarily have to wear a suit "personally," if you
had a
"interview double" who would go through the process and get hired, then
you
could personally show up for the job. If this sounds strange that is
what a few
companies are doing by using the "temp to hire" mode they have not done
any of
the direct interviewing, just taking the recommendation of their
surrogate
interviewer and then testing in actual practice to see if it works.
