Im going to help a linux newbie set up his first distro. But I am unsure what to give him. My personal best experiences lie in Gentoo and Debian. Gentoo takes way too long and is a little advanced. Debian is good, but stable is SO OLD, and relatively useless..... and unstable and testing are really buggy. So What would everyone reccomend? and WHY?
