Transparent proxy is the way to go if you have a routed internal
network.  A linux box can also act as a router so that you can route
port 80 traffic through squid if you don't have a catalyst doing
policy-based routing.  Very handy.  Only draw back is that
authentication doesnt work with transparent proxying (i dont think),
but you probably dont want to authenticate people if you don't want
them to know they are proxied.
