On a related note, has anyone ever purchased and added in one of these
Mini-PCI cards to a laptop? From what I understand I just crack open my
laptop case, find the mini-pci slot and plug it in, right? Is the
mini-PCI formfactor and pinout standard link we come to expect from PCI
and AGP cards in desktops, or will I have to find a Compaq mini-PCI card
specifically?

Right now I have a PCMCIA wireless card that is less than reliable...
